I am a technology researcher, software developer, and entrepreneur based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I created Semantic Wave to organize the research and development of advanced knowlege tools.

I have been developing software for online communities ever since I selected the "View Source" menu item in Netscape 1.0. I first encountered programming in 1984 and 1985 by writing basic on the Apple IIe and Casio PB-1000.

Most of the applications that I have built are in perl and ruby. Recently, I have delved into the postgres database, but most of my database experience has been with mysql and oracle.
