« OpenID and Trust | Main | What is Open? » March 06, 2007 Scribd, more than just a pdf viewer in flashScribd is a document sharing community done right. The pdf "viewer" in flash idea truly rocks, but equally amazing is the clean simplicity with which Scribd organizes their social community, traffic analytics, and other things. The irony of viewing pdf inside of flash is palpable, except that it looks like Scribd is using Flashpaper to do this. Flash is becoming the everything viewer, for better or for worse. | TrackBackComments
There is another new company in this space. It is called OpenFloodgate. Their slogan is, "Opening the path to publication to everyone." This site now allows you to share your work (anything that can be uploaded as a doc or pdf) and will soon allow you to sell it. Also, you can make each work public, private, or only available to a select "club." Check it out at http://www.openfloodgate.com Posted by: Tina Seelig at March 8, 2007 01:13 AM
